Patina Restaurant Gardens

Los Angeles, CA
2001
Gardens for one of the finest restaurants in Los Angeles were designed by William Nicholas for a major renovation of its facilities. Most of the plantings were along the street, intended to give a presence to the restaurant. The textures and colors of the plants were chosen to complement the stone wall and metal screens. The screens with flowering vines give privacy to the dining tables within. A small interior courtyard was also planted with flowering vines, and a fountain was designed to mask street noise and create a cooler microclimate on the patio.
