This addition renovation was performed on one of the oldest homes in Pacific Palisades. On the ground floor, the addition houses a new kitchen, dining area, and living room, each one defined by changes in the ceiling height and materials. On the second floor, a new master bathroom suite was created. The master bath was the focus with a spacious bath and steam shower. The spaciousness of the addition contrasts with the small rooms of the original 1923 house, however, through the use of rich materials and interesting forms, the old and new comfortably coexist. We also designed the landscape for this project and are in the process of designing the studio/garage space as well.
